    All Bleary-eyed…. BUT Blessed!!

Been doing the accounts… and boy I do think I need new glasses!!

I think that’s the biggest trouble I’m having with accounts…. all the lots of figures and fine print.  I have to take them off to read the fine print, then put them on to look at the screen.

Anyhow, I’ve got the main bits done, and I know how much we owe and what is owed to us.  Boy, this is a change!!  All the bills are current!!  I think we can afford a pair of new glasses!!

Hey, the Lord has been good!!

I’m seeing His blessings in little things!  Years ago, before I was married, I used to love shopping, and I’d pray about it before I went, and I’d always find good bargains.  In recent years, that sort of thing hasn’t happened.  But today, the girls went shopping, both of them needed shoes.  Anyhow at Big W they found a heap of shoes on special for $3 a pair.  When I picked them up, they both had a bag full of shoes!!  Hey, isn’t God neat!!

And on top of that, we’ve had the blessing of the car…. which is JUST perfect!!  I do believe we are experiencing God’s favour… or His GRACE!!!

As it says in Hebrews 11:6, “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”  For years we wondered where that was, but hey, Abraham felt the same way.  He didn’t see the evidence of God’s promises for a LONG time… BUT, he believed, despite the circumstances!!

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.  (Hebrews 11:6, ESV)

    End of month!

Nothing much except to pay bills today!!

But I do thank the Lord that we can pay them!!!  Our Lord is good, and He does provide!!  My biggest challenge at present is making the time to catch up on the accounts, and then keep them up to date.

So tonight that’s what I’m doing!!  So I’d best not do too much blogging or Flickring for the time being until I’m caught up!

So, I’d best get back to it!!

    Blessings!!

    Problems fixed!!

    Just a quick one tonight!!

    GOOD NEWS!!!

The problems of yesterday, have been sorted out!   Our internet is back up to speed, and I found the source of the smelly fridge….

….. The juices out of a leg of lamb had dripped on a plastic bag that had some bread rolls in it.  And that’s why the stink lingered on.  But now, since I disposed of the bag and the bread roll, all smells sweet!!  And what a relief!!

There could be a lesson in all that about contamination…. but I’m TOO sleepy to think straight!  So, you can work out your own lesson!!  🙂

    Good night!!

    Two problems today…

    …. a painfully slow internet…..

….. and a smelly fridge, like something died in it!! I emptied it and chucked out every possible thing that may have been the cuplrit, but still the smell lingers on!! Urrgghh!!

Anyhow, I’m sure we will eventually uncover the course.

It reminds me of our hearts when we hold onto junk, like resentment, bitterness, anger, and the like. Just as it says in Jeremiah 17:3….

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?
I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man accouding to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

However, as Christ’s, we’ve had a heart transplant… God has give us a heart of flesh instead of stone. (See Ezekiel 36:26-27.) Yet, we do still have a responsibility to keep our heart, as it says in Proverbs and Hebrews:

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23, NKJ)

See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. (Hebrews 12:15, NIV)

And as I was writing this, I hear this song on the Christian radio:

THE MEASURE OF A MAN – 4 Him Lyrics

This world can analyze and size you up
And throw you on the scales
They can IQ you and run you through
    Their rigorous details
They can do their best to rate you
And they’ll place you on their charts
And then back it up with scientific smarts
But there’s more to what your worth
Than what their human eyes can see

    CHORUS
Oh I say the measure of a man
Is not how tall you stand
How wealthy or intelligent you are
Cause I found out the measure of a man
    God knows and understands
For He looks inside to the bottom of your heart
And what’s in the heart defines
    The measure of a man

Well you can doubt your worth
And search for who you are and where you stand
But God made you in His image
When He formed you in his hands
And He looks at you with mercy
And He sees you through His love
You’re His child and that will always be enough
For there’s more to what you’re worth
    Than you could ever comprehend

    CHORUS

    BRIDGE
You can spend your life pursuing physical perfection
There is so much more, more than ever meets the eye
For God looks through the surface
And He defines your worth by, what is on the inside

    One of those days??….

Ever had one of those days, where you just can’t go any further!!??
Trying to do too many things at once, that you’re zonked even before the day is half done?  Sounds a bit like my day, today!!

Well I found this ant in my pics from yesterday, and it looks like he’s loafing!! 🙂

     loafing

Must have been a hard day at the office…. or maybe too much partying the night before!!  🙂 ….  or maybe he was taking on too much, and not deligating the jobs… trying to do it alone!

Whatever, this reminds me of what Jesus said:

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30, NLT)

Why is it that I always have to remind myself of that verse??  Sometimes we just forget the promises that Jesus made.  Could it be because I like my burden too much??  Sometimes we feel compelled to work hard, to make ourselves feel significant.  Sometimes it’s because we feel guilty if we don’t.

Oh, that we would stop and just wait on the Lord and rest in Him.

Here’s a song I like… and old one, but still packs a punch:

“He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labours increase,
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
    His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

    God loves macro!!

    buzzzy bee

I am so amazed with my NEW camera!! I can now get shots I could only dream of a while ago!!

I’ve always loved macro! What I like is that the image is REAL, yet it is something that I’d would never see with the naked eye.

It shows me the intricate details of a Master Designer. Imagine how, that the God of the universe could take the time to make something so delicate as an insect. And look at the bees, and how amazingly they work together, and our God has set all that in motion by natural laws.

If our God takes the time for those minutest details, won’t He surely take the time for me?? In fact, His word says….

“Your hands have made me, cunningly fashioned and established me; give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.” (Psalm 119:73, Amp.)

You sure have a way with your new camera, but I still love to hear your thought in words! God IS so amazing , isn’t He?

    God’s Name Blasphemed!! Why??

“The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.” (Romans 2:24, ESV)

I had a question in Bible study tonight regarding this verse.

In the context, Paul is talking about the hypocricy of the Pharisees, and how the would judge other, but not practise what they preached. They were, instead, to be a light to the non-Jews, but they failed miserably in their message.

Instead of being a light, and proclaim the name of God, people saw through the facade and the message about God had no credibility. Hence, they blasphemed the name of God. They had no reverence for God.

Now today, don’t we see the same thing… people taking God’s name in vain!! Could this possibly be a result of hypocricy in the church?? Do we practice what we preach?? Are we are shining a true light??

Wow, I think you hit it right on! We are to be salt and light in the world. But if our salt looses it’s saltyness…..!

    POOPED!!!

    Busy day!!.

Spent 3 hours in the hot sun this arvo, handing out how to vote forms….

    ….and I’m POOPED!!!

And I was up at the crack of dawn this morning to help set up the garage sale.  However, once we were set up, there wasn’t that much to do, just wait around for customers.

The sale was fairly successful!! Despite feeling tired, all in all, the day went pretty good!

Oh, BTW, our daylight saving finishes tonight, so we put our clocks back an hour.  That is good, because I can catch up with more of you at night time here.  The times don’t clash to much.

That’s about it… too tired to write more!  Have a great weekend!!

    Chock-a-block Day

Tomorrow, we have a garage sale at my sister-in-law’s place. Been there tonight pricing the things…. gotta get back very early in the morning, so I won’t be around all day tomorrow.

Also tomorrow, we have our state elections here! In Oz voting is compulsory. In the afternoon, I’m handing out how to vote forms for the Christian Democrats Party, who have 2 seats in the upper house. I won’t finish there until 6 o’clock.

    Have a wonderful weekend!!

    Sailing!! Sailing!!

Hey, I went on a river cruise today!

I’ve lived in this beautiful area for 23 years, and would you believe today was the first time I’d been on a boat trip on the Manning River??  Funny thing how you can live in an area but never get around to doing the fun stuff like tourists do!!…. unless of course you have visitors and you have to show them the area!  Does that happen to you?

Anyhow, the day was very enjoyable.  Of course, I took my new camera and snapped all the way.  I’ve posted some pics on my Flickr.
I used up all the memory, but missed one good shot when we got off the boat.  There were geese on the shore (hadn’t seen geese there before…. reminded me of you!!…. sorry, you’re not a goose!), and a pelican came along and the had a brawl in the car park.  But I missed the best bit!!!

I got some good pics of the geese though, but you’ll have to wait for them, because there right at the end of the trip.  Good one of the pelican, too!!

So to find out more, go to Flickr, and keep watching, as I have heaps more pics to post!
