Alright!! I know, I know….. I haven’t posted for a couple of days!!

But hey, I’ve got a good reason….. I’ve been busy creating some harmony in this place!! And boy, it feels good!! Normally I’d try to get some organization in the place, but that sounds way too regimented. Harmony is a much better word….. sounds more creative to me.

Would you believe, this is one of the lessons I learned from that Mondrian debate last week? The main thing that Mondrian guy was on about was harmony of shapes, textures and colours, and balance. So, I’ve been taking that lesson and applying it to life, and to our home! And hey!! It’s been a real revelation to me!!!

Last week, as I was thinking about harmony, it struck me!!….. Harmony is all about grace! I’d been thinking of how I should get organized and get things in order, which seems very regimented…very legalistic!!

So, as I see it, harmony is grace at work. When everyone is gracious to one another, the result is HARMONY!!

Also, I found, striving to be organised, was very straight, clinical, restricting and stressful, whereas, harmony is creative, and beautiful, and liberating, and serene!!

Just take a home that is well organized, and one that is harmonious. By looking at them both, they may seem very much the same. However, just some spend some time in each, and you’re sure to find a real difference!! That difference is atmosphere!!!

One is grace, and the other is rules!! One has a “YES face”, and the other has a “NO face”! I sure know which one I’d sooner have!!

So, I am so thankful for this lesson! Now I can look at our home in a much different light, and with the Lords help, create harmony!!
