It’s been a day or two since I’ve written anything… reason being, catching up on some work. Anyhow, after all the writing last week, I was just about written out.
So today I decided not to write until I was done!!
Now, yesterday!? As it was a lovely, mild day, I decided it was a good opportunity for a walk in the bush. Where I live, there’s a fair bit of bush around. And as I write this, I remember where we lived when I was little, there was a lot of bush out the back of our place. I recall going out and picking the wildflowers and bringing them home to Mum.
And guess what I did yesterday in the bush? I went chasing wildflowers. I’ve only just realised this connection, and how far this love has gone back. Anyhow, now, instead of picking them, I shoot them… with my camera of course!!
What I love about photographing them is the double surprise I get. Actually finding this precious little flowers is buzz, so I get down on the ground and take their pic. But coming home with the catch, is just as amazing. On downloading them, it is truly amazing what I find. As these tiny beauties are blown up on the screen, there before my eyes, in implicit detail is the awesome handiwork of our Master Designer. Nothing is overlooked by Him.

Isn’t it so astounding how the Maker of the whole universe, and the one Who holds all those galaxies in place, is also the one Who puts the intricate details into the tiniest of flowers… flowers that most people wouldn’t even notice. So why should he make such a fuss over something that is not even see, and that is here today and gone tomorrow? Why take the time on something that is so fleeting?
But that is how BIG our God is!!! Nothing in all creation escapes His notice. And so neither do we!! And even more so, since we are the most cherished of all His creation. It reminds me of what Jesus said:
“If God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:30-34, NLT)
